Dubai is all set to host the mega fair Expo 2020 which was awarded by The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), a general assembly in Paris on 23rd November 2013. This is going to be the first time that the World Expo will be staged in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MEASA). Expo 2020, a remarkable platform for international dialogue to create and innovate things for the progress and cooperation of a city or a country representing the technology and ideas. Chairman of  Higher Committee of Expo 2020, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, formed the City Readiness Committee in March to supervise and see the condition and coordination of local and federal members and ensure that Dubai is ready for the mega technical event.

Director-general of the Ruler’s Court of Dubai, Mohammad Ebrahim Al Shaibani chaired the last meeting in the presence of a large number of committee members, including, Minister of State for International Cooperation,  and the director-general of Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau, Reem Al Hashemi.

Also in attendance were Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director-General, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai; Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, as well as several working groups from the RTA, Dubai Municipality, DRFA, and Dubai Airports.

According to Al  Shaibani said the plans for the expo has, already under implementation, with the collaboration of various Dubai institutions, and this team will definitely achieve its goal and able to create a successful historical event.
