What can you expect from Expo 2020 Dubai?
Al Wasl Plaza will be the heart of Expo 2020. It is expected to bring together a physical demonstration of the central theme of the Expo, "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future." The first look of Al Wasl Plaza was already unveiled in April 2017.
A dome will be constructed which will double up as a 360-degree screen in the evening, which will project images to visitors both inside and outside of the plaza. The dome of Al Wasl Plaza will be approximately 65 meters tall with a diameter of 150metres and will be capable of hosting an estimated ten thousand visitors. Each participating country will have its pavilion, while there will separate and designated pavilion for each of the principal sub-themes - sustainability, mobility, and opportunity.
How to Reach the site?
It usually takes forty minutes to reach the Expo site from Downtown Dubai. The Expo will have its own metro station, with a capacity of forty thousand passengers per hour. Hence you can use the Dubai Metro to reach the site. By car, it will take you 40 minutes to reach the Expo site from Downtown Dubai.
Opening day for the Expo is 20th October 2020 and as per local news, the closing days are 10th April 2021. The site opens from 9 AM till 1 AM on weekdays. However, on weekends you can expect it to be open from 10 AM to 2 in the morning.
