Investor

For investors, there are two types of Golden Visas:

1. Real estate investors are eligible for the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Investor Visa.

2. Investor Visa – for people who engage in businesses and projects other than Abu Dhabi real estate.

Investor Visa

A 10-year visa is available to investors in Abu Dhabi who meet one or more of the requirements listed below:

  • A minimum AED 2 million capital deposit in an Abu Dhabi-based investment fund or bank account

  • Establish a firm worth at least AED 2 million in Abu Dhabi, or become a partner in a new company or an existing one with a financial investment of at least AED 2 million

  • Own a business that routinely pays federal taxes of AED 250,000 or more per year

  • Become a partner in a company that pays federal taxes and contributes at least AED 250,000 in taxes annually.

A minimum of two years must pass after the visa has been approved for investments to remain in place. Visas for wives, kids, one advisor, and one executive director are also included with the Investor Visa. 

The holder of the visa may sponsor a domestic worker as long as the requirements are met. The necessary paperwork includes: 

  • Official bank statements from the previous six months (the bank can be in the UAE or outside the country)

  • Certificate of Tax Clearance

  • Trade Permit.

Real Estate Investor Visa

The following requirements must be met for real estate investors to qualify for a 5-year visa: 

  • Invest in a property with a value of at least AED 2 million

  • After the visa is granted, the investment must be kept for at least two years. 

The Real Estate Investor Visa also grants spouses and minor children visas.

 

The visa holder may sponsor a domestic worker if the requirements are met. The necessary paperwork is:

  • Evidence of a single or collective investment profile's ownership of real estate valued at AED 2 million or more

  • Mortgage Status Document (Mortgaged or Released).

Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs who meet one or more of the following requirements may be granted a 5-year visa:

  • Approval of a recognized business incubator in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

  • Approval of a recognized business incubator in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

Visas for partners and kids are included with the Entrepreneur Visa. The visa holder might sponsor employees to work for the business; these visas are only valid while the employees are working for the business.

The visa holder may sponsor a domestic worker if the requirements are met. The necessary paperwork is:

  • Evidence of company status (purchase of existing business worth AED 500,000 or approval from a recognized business incubator)

  • Trade Permit.

Student

High School Student

  • Graduated with honours from an Abu Dhabi, high school

University Student

The requirements:

  • The Abu Dhabi Department of Health must grant you a license to practice as a consultant or specialist physician. You must provide this number along with proof of your license

  • You must also have a clean, professional record free of clinical investigations, allegations, disqualifications, or suspensions

  • Must have achieved tier 1 credentials or a consulting license and must have contributed to the delivery of healthcare services

  • More than ten years of experience working as a consultant or specialized doctor is a must

  • Meets the requirements established by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health for providing healthcare in a rare speciality with no more than 5% of all licensed physicians working in that area.

Doctors must also meet one of the following requirements and offer sufficient supporting documentation:

1. Has received recognition as an outstanding professional from any applicable governmental body

2. Is a member of the team conducting real-world clinical research

3. Has published pertinent content in a global scientific journal

4. Participates actively in any foreign medical education program or an Abu Dhabi Department of Health committee.

Scientists

The requirement:

  • Must be a Mohammed Bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Distinction recipient or have the endorsement of the Emirates Scientists Council.

Creatives

The Requirement:

  • Requires a reference from one of Abu Dhabi's governmental or cultural organizations.

Innovators

The Requirement:

  • Must own a patent that benefits the Abu Dhabi economy and be recommended by the Ministry of Economy.

Executive Directors

The Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is a must

  • 5 years of work experience (minimum)

  • A salary of a minimum of AED 50,000 per month

  • An Abu Dhabi valid employment contract.

Educators

The Requirement:

  • Must have advanced training in one of the priority, scarce fields or specialities for the nation as recognized by the appropriate authorities.

Sports

The prerequisites are as follows: Must receive approval from either the General Sports Authority or the Abu Dhabi Sports Council Must fall under one of the following categories:

  • Outstanding athletic ability

  • Attained excellence in athletics

  • Is a member of a board, commission, or body that oversees international sports.

  • Sports medicine specialist.

PhD. Holders

The Requirement:

  • Must possess a doctoral degree from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education in one of Abu Dhabi's priority fields.

The Requirement:

Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following fields approved by the Ministry of Education and be employed in that field in Abu Dhabi. -Epidemiology and Virology
